Domex is hiring HVAC Engineers to join our Kitchen Appliance Repair team as a Field Service Engineer, visiting our domestic refrigeration customers. Experience as a Field Service Engineer is not essential, as we are committed to nurturing talent and transforming you into the best Domestic Appliance Engineer you can be.

Experience as a Refrigeration Service Engineer is not essential; however, we prefer applicants to have a relevant HVAC qualification or some form of related experience. If you have a strong technical background, we can cross-train you to become an expert Domestic Refrigeration Appliance Engineer.

What will your responsibilities be in this role?

• Performing diagnostics and servicing repairs on kitchen appliances in customers' homes, specifically refrigerators; your role is also likely to include the repair of other kitchen appliances e.g. electric cookers, and possibly washing machines / dishwashers.
• Visiting customers generally within your surrounding postcode areas, eliminating long commutes.
• Managing your day using a user-friendly mobile app, including parts in-take, returns, technical information, and job completion.
• Maintaining communication with both customers and the office, providing updates and addressing issues where required.

What skills and experience do you need?

• A comprehensive understanding of electrical principles, acquired through a combination of education and work experience.
• Possession of an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) qualification is preferred.
• Experience in a hands-on trade, e.g. Service Engineer, Electrician, Technician, Maintenance Engineer, Refrigeration Engineer, or Air Conditioning Engineer.
• Possession of a valid manual car driving licence and comfort with daily driving.
• A customer-centric approach focusing on delivering excellent service and meeting customer needs.
